The
Balbriggan Community Policing Forum is an independent body providing the community
with an opportunity to identify and address local drug and alcohol related anti
social behaviour in a co-ordinated way. The BCPF is managed by the Fingal Leader
Partnership Ltd and is run locally by the Development Worker Louise Butler. It
is also a hybrid structure which joins the Balbriggan JPC and the CPF together.
The BCPF also has a remit for safety in the community and hense the idea for a
safety week was formed. A committee of interested people got together and
it is with their insight, experience and great ideas that the Balbriggan Community
Safety Week programme was created. The committee members who deserve a
great thank you include Louise Butler BCPF , Inspector Declan Yeats and all his
team of Community Garda who worked tirlessly to make this a great event. Also
a big thank you to the Town Clerk Brian Murray, to the two Balbriggan Community
Policing Forum community reps for area 5 and 6 who are Margaret O Brien and Zoe
Nelson, Michael Grimes coordinator Farmers Market, Mark Wilson Dublin Fire Brigade,
Rafe Costigan Fingal County Council, Jacki Thomson Regional Drug Task Force and
lastly to Karen Kelly of the Irish Coast Guard |
