In 2011 there were 187,227 visits to Balbriggan
Library, 148,157 books were borrowed and Library users spent 25,973 hours on our
free public pcs.
Please support the library
by encouraging family and friends to join as well. Its free to join, free to borrow
and all our events are free. Here
are some classes/events taking place in the Library over the coming weeks:
Improvers
Irish | | A
free intermediate Irish class will start on Wednesday 8th February from 6.00pm-8.00pm
and run for a minimum of 8 weeks. This course
is suitable for anyone who has good basic/beginners knowledge of Irish. Call

your Irish Ancestry | | A
free talk by John Grenham. Thursday 23rd February 6.30pm -8.00pm. Numbers
are limited so booking is essential. Please

Flower making workshop for adults | | This
free workshop will take place at 11am on one of the mornings in February— exact

6th February 6.00pm- 8.00pm with artist Derek Zeuss—go home with a completed painting!
Just supply your own blank canvas (some €uro

Dickens Bicentenary | | 7th
February 2012 is the 200th anniversary of Charles Dickens’s birthday. Events
and competitions will be taking place in all our libraries throughout the year.
During February a selection of Dickens classics
will be on display in Balbriggan Library. |

classes take place every Tuesday evening at 7.30pm, all are welcome. |
