09-Feb-12: Balbriggan hosted the first ‘pop-up’ Maritime Museum in the Bracken Court Hotel on Thursday, 9th February . The museum will be open until 9:00pm The museum was opened by the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Jimmy Deenihan TD. Pupils from the local schools got to visit and by 3pm over 700 people had attended. This is a huge success for the organisers. This commmunity event is aimed at establishing a permanent Balbriggan Maritime Museum
