1916 Commemorative Event in Balbriggan to Remember Sinéad Ní Fhlannagáin De Valera
May 9, 2016 ADMIN 0On behalf of Balbriggan Liaison Commemorative Committee we wish to express our delight and thanks for the great turn out yesterday to commemorate 1916 and to remember Sinéad Ní Fhlannagáin De Valera. A special word of thanks to Deputy Eamon O’Cuiv TD and the extended Flannagan and De Valera Family for attending and unveiling the plaque.
A word of thanks also to Fr Eugene, 89th Bremore Scout, 64th Scouts and the Girl Guides and Brigins who played their part in the commemorative mass and parade.
It was a great day to celebrate our heritage and the participation of St Patrick’s Brass and Reed band and the Old Fingal IRA Commemorative committee certainly added to the success of the event. We would also like to recognise the great work done by Patrick Hickey of McNally Monumental for the work and design of the plaque.
