Anima Chamber Choir & St Molaga’s School Choirs Present Pitch Perfect

Anima Chamber Choir, Dublin and St Molaga’s School choirs put on a fantastic evening of choral music in St. Peter & Paul’s Church this evening.  The choirs sang individual sets and then joined together for a final performance which brought a well deserved standing ovation from the audience. St Molaga’s School Choir which was established in 1992 by Patricia Hegarty and the choir split into junior and senior choirs in 208 as the school community grew.  The choirs often compete in local and national choral festivals and have won first prize at the Drogheda Youth Choral Festival and at the Balbriggan Summerfest Schools Choir competition. Last year they placed 2nd in their competition at Feis Ceoil in the RDS in Dublin.

The Anima Chamber Choir, conducted by Bernard Sexton, was formed in September 2008 and the group has performed in a number of Dublin venues including University Church, St. Stephen’s Green and the Church of St. Nicolas of Myra, Frances Street.  In May 2011 Anima participated in the AIMS Choral festival in New Ross where they were awarded first place in the Chamber Music Competition and first place in the Sacred Music Competition.
