Balbriggan Branch of Guide Dogs Volunteer Information evening

March 3, 2012 0

Balbriggan – North County Dublin Branch of Guide Dogs hosted a ‘Volunteer Information-Cheese and Wine’ evening in the Bracken Court Hotel, Balbriggan on Friday 2nd March to highlight the many ways volunteers can get involved in support of their work.

Present on the night were Tom and Breege O’Neill who founded the Balbriggan Branch back in 1985. Tom spoke of how important puppy walkers are and without volunteers to help with these puppies they would not have their mobility or freedom. Tom whose own dog passed in November 2011 is still waiting for a new guide dog, which seriously affects his mobility and independence.

If you are interested in volunteering and couldn’t make it to the Volunteer evening , they would still like to hear from you. Call 085 766 3107 or email who would be happy to discuss volunteering opportunities with you. Thank you!
