Hello Everyone, we’re organizing our annual St.Patrick’s Day 10K !  For 2020 we have a new route with the same great finish & hospitality Balbriggan Cancer Support Centre, the 10k will now start at the church carpark and finish back at the Balbriggan Cancer Support Centre at Balbriggan Business Park on the Harry Reynolds road (see course map below).

Important Note: Balbriggan Cancer Support Group do NOT issue sponsorship cards for this event – monies are raised through runner/walker registration fees only!

bcsg_10k_21k_17mar14_larger_4One of the great sporting events on Balbriggan’s calendar is the Balbriggan Cancer Support Group 10k. Covering a course in the coastal town of Balbriggan and surrounding north Fingal countryside.

The Balbriggan Cancer Support Group has been a fantastic success and the event is going from strength to strength since it began back in 2011.  Once again we invite all runners walkers to take part in the 2020 event which is  licensed by AAI and the course is measured and verified by them.

bcsg_medal_2015Balbriggan Cancer Support Group would like to thank all our sponsors and athletes for making 2019 possible making this the great event that it has grown into and we look forward to welcoming everybody to the race in 2020. The event is one of the main fundraisers for the group with donations & sponsorship gratefully received.

Prizes on the day for each category  1st, 2nd & 3rd male and female and over 40’s, 50’s and 60’s with medals & T-shirts for every finisher.

Personalised Bib Numbers

This year Balbriggan Cancer Support Group are delighted to be able to provide personalised bib numbers for entries up to 31st January 2020. A great souvenir for you to pin on your wall after the race so make sure to book early…

Registration:

  • 10k running/Walking

    • Register now – early bird registration €20 until 31st January 2020 then €25 thereafter

For those interested, you may have your number and t-shirt posted to your home address. Please ensure to include your Eircode. It can be found here: https://finder.eircode.ie/#/

Registration closes on Friday March 13th. If there is any places available after the 13th, there will be a €5 administration charge, so don’t forget to book early!

Entries can be collected on morning by prior arrangement only

Race Pack Collections

Race parks can be collected from the Cancer Support Group centre, Unit 23 Balbriggan Business Park, on Saturday 16th March from 10:30am to 7:00pm

Race Logistics:

Start Times:

  • 10K Run – 8:45am
  • Walk – 9:00am

Medal for all finishers, refreshments after race and physio’s will be available on the day

Pacers

In 2020 there will be 10K pacers for 45, 50 and 60 minutes. Just find your pacer at the start line and stick with them to the finish to get your time.

Parking:

If you need parking on the morning of the race there is parking in the business park on the opposite side of the road from Balbriggan Business Campus which will be manned for the duration of the race

volunteers_neededBalbriggan Cancer Support Group are looking for volunteers to help with this race. Volunteers are vital to ensure that everything runs smoothly on the day and also to ensure that the participants have a great experience.

Directions to Balbriggan Cancer Support Group:

Exit no 6 from M1 south or north bound follow r122 to roundabout through traffic lights at Millfield shopping centre on right. Take first right after Millfield onto the Harry Reynolds road, take second right into Fingal Bay Business Park and stewards will direct from entrance of car park
