Balbriggan Community College Leaving Cert Results 2018

August 15, 2018 0

It was a very exciting day as the Leaving Cert students at Balbriggan Community College received their results. This was a very important day for our students, their families and our teacher’s who have worked together as a team over the past couple of years. We as a staff are extremely proud of the entire cohort of Leaving Cert students who have achieved well above the national average. Special word of praise must go to Cian McGrane who gained the distinction of achieving the highest marks in the year group.

The school only this morning received word that it has once again achieved ‘International School of Distinction’ for the 3rd year in a row. That makes Balbriggan Community College one of only 7 school in the country to be awarded the highest grade for its work. It is the 4th year that the school has been involved in the ‘College for Every Student’ programme in conjunction with Trinity College Dublin and the motivation and determination that this programme brings to succeed and progress can be seen in these results.

Principal Emmet Sheridan said that while we recognise that education is about so much more than exam results, it was great to see all of the students achieving their potential and reaping the rewards of their hard effort and diligence. I would like to thank the staff for the outstanding work that they do, using 21st Century Teaching and Learning methods that give all of our students the tools to achieve. The results that we continue to achieve are signs of a great future for the school. We wish all our students well in their future careers.
