Balbriggan Golf Club reopens today following several months of lockdown. Whilst its members and guests have missed their golf on this wonderful course the committees and volunteers have continued their programs of essential work to ensure the course and its surroundings are in prime condition for reopening.

balbriggan_golf_club_SIGNBalbriggan Golf Club has during the lockdowns pursued an open-door policy to the community enabling people, walk and exercise their dogs, on the course. The club has received lots of positive feedback from locals for providing this facility who thoroughly enjoyed having this 160 acres of beautiful parkland golf course to enjoy safely within the 5K rule.

Meanwhile, on the course, further drainage works have been completed and greens hollow cored in preparation for the return to golf. A tree-planting program is underway and a stunning new patio area has been added to allow for outdoor dining when it is safe to do so.

Club Officers this year are Sean O Connor, President, Mark Farrell, Captain, Máire Garland Lady Captain, Vice Captains Eamon O Brien, and Frances Whelan, Junior Captains Fiona Tolan and Kieron Vickers are excited to get back to golf and to welcoming members and hopefully guests in the coming months.

The course moved into the top 100 golf courses in Ireland in 2012 and has remained there. It boasts beautifully tree-lined fairways, perfectly manicured greens, and wonderful water features which meander throughout the course, offering golfers of all levels a most enjoyable golfing experience. There are so many holes contending for the position of the signature hole that every corner the golfer turns will give a glimpse of a better hole than the last

The club Professional Nigel Howley offers a huge range of equipment and clothing from his store and is a hugely respected golf instructor. A club with a wonderfully friendly atmosphere and a stunning course.
