The 120 strong Balbriggan Liverpool Supporters Branch was formed on 17th July 1995 in The Milestone, Balbriggan
and continue to meet on the first Tuesday of every month. Over the last 10 years the branch have donated €16,144 to various charities/sporting clubs/benefit nights/schools. Of this amount, €7,000 went to local people who were ill or injured in accidents.
Some of those helped by Balbriggan Liverpool Supporters Branch are; Special Olympics, Meals On Wheels, Pieta House, Balbriggan Cancer Support Group, Gary Kelly Cancer Fund, St.Francis Hospice, Temple St. Children’s Hospital, Haiti Appeal, Mencap, Ardgillan Community College, Glebe North, Balbriggan F.C., O Dwyers GAA Club
and St. Marys Baton Twirlers
The Branch were delighted to have former players, Alan Kennedy, Ronnie Whelan, John Aldridge, David Fairclough and Bruce Grobbelaar attend some of the many functions they have organised. During season 2001/2002 the branch were selected to appear on a TV programme. It was filmed in The Milestone during a Liverpool v Man Utd game. At the time it was shown on RTE and Granada.
On 28th May 2013 the branch were invited to play in a 5-a-Side competition for Supporters Clubs in Anfield where they beat teams from Liege, Cardiff and Qatar.
The club has gone from strength to strength and continue to support their team and help good causes that need and deserve it…
