Balbriggan RFC 90th Anniversary Gala Ball

On Friday the Balbriggan RFC held their 90th Anniversary Gala Ball in the Bracken Court Hotel. The club were delighted to have Martin O’Sullivan President of the IRFU and Robbie McDermott President of the Leinster Branch in attendance along with other dignitaries including Tommy McCormick, son of the late WJ McCormick, who played for Balbriggan Rugby Club at it’s foundation and became Balbriggan’s first full International player. Tommy brought his father’s jersey and international cap which was seen by club members for the first time. Also present was Brendan Griffin, from Balrothery, who along with Tom Kettle, re-formed the club in the 1960’s.  Members and former players from various teams throughout the decades were present on the night, as were current players, and parents and coaches from the Youth and Mini section in the Club.  A very successful night and good night had by all…
