Balbriggan Tidy Towns Association were delighted to welcome Mayor McCamley to their annual Volunteer Appreciation Evening in the Bracken Court Hotel last night. The mayor presented a certificate, to Alex Mc Cullough, on behalf of all Tidy Towns volunteers,  to acknowledge the great achievement of Balbriggan as the 10th cleanest town in Ireland according to the 2017 IBAL report.

The mayor complimented and praised the work of all volunteers in Fingal and their role in building community.

They also donated hi-vis vests for children’s groups in the town such as Little Gumboots, Cocoon and Tots and Swots, who have been working with Tidy Towns on various environmental projects.

Balbriggan Tidy Towns Association believe that with the commercial support of the Moriarty group and the commitment of so many volunteers in Balbriggan we will continue to improve Balbriggan as a clean town and as an attractive place to visit.  Having increased our points by a whopping 12 points this year we hope that we can improve our town in years to come.
