Balbriggan Tidy Towns Plant 350 Daffodils

Terry, Joe, and Alex from Balbriggan Tidy Towns turned out on Saturday 8th December in very suitable weather conditions at 11.00 am. The trio planted approximately 350 daffodil bulbs at the Church Roundabout and on the east side of the Jack Murphy roundabout. balbriggan_tidy_towns_logo_smallerThey also removing about one kg of fragments of someone’s fly tipped house window glass from the planted area at the Jack Murphy roundabout. and clearing the footpath of rocks at the Jack Murphy roundabout. Next Spring should show benefits of their enthusiastic digging efforts.

Balbriggan Community College are interested in doing some planting with Balbriggan Tidy Towns on Thursday 13th December at 1.30pm There could be up to 40 students and 3 teachers in attendance. The students have been requested to bring spades and gloves themselves.

With this number of students participating adult volunteers are particularly welcome to help ensure the event is conducted safely.

Next meeting of BTT is at 8.00pm on Monday 10th December in Harvest Inn followed by light refreshments.
