Balbriggan Tidy Towns Volunteer Appreciation Night

February 22, 2019 0

There was a great turnout for Balbriggan Tidy Towns annual volunteer appreciation night, last night in the Bracken Court hotel. This gathering is an opportunity for the growing Tidy Towns community in Balbriggan to meet, over a glass of wine, and reflect on our year’s activities.

balbriggan_tidy_townsWe are very grateful to all our volunteers for the massive efforts they make in improving our community;from our dedicated Saturday clean team, our Adopt-a-Patch members, local councillors, artists, community groups, such as the ICA, Youth Reach, Integration Forum, REACH, Men’s Shed, local schools and scout groups. Having pushed our Tidy Towns score to 291 points there was much to celebrate.

We were delighted to have Breffni O’Rourke, from Fingal County Council, make a presentation on the results of the Our Balbriggan community consultation process and to outline some of the next steps which will be taken in the huge investment in our town. This promises to be wonderful opportunity to transform Balbriggan.

Special mention must be given to the Moriarty Group and the Bracken Court Hotel for once again sponsoring this important community event.
