Balbriggan/North County Dublin Branch of Guide Dogs Visit Balscadden N.SApril 25, 2015 ADMIN 0
Tom O’Neill with Gatsby the guide dog and Ann Mulligan a puppy walker with her puppy in training Jenna all from the Balbriggan\North County Dublin branch of guide dogs visited Ms Jordan and her 3rd class students in Balscadden N.S a few weeks back.
The pupils sent Tom a card afterwards to say thanks. The photos below show the outside of the card that had feathers on it, flowers, a piece of a shell and raised printed letters so that Tom who is blind could read the word thanks. Fabulous thinking by the children. Inside of the card the children have written their words of thanks.
The branch will go to any school or group in the branch area or a little outside of it. The talks consist of talking about what a guide dog means to a blind person and what it is like to be blind. The group will also get plenty of time to ask questions and believe me our children will ask anything. The talks are free of charge and can be arranged by a phone call to 085 7663107 or by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
