Bins on Balbriggan Beach Issue Raised Yet Again!

May 23, 2013 0

At the Balbriggan Community Policing Forum Public Meeting on Monday 20th May the issue about lack of bins on Balbriggan beach raised it’s ugly head once again. It is clear that residents feel that 2 bins (which we are informed were moved from the Martello tower area) are not sufficient for the beach area.

bins_put_in_place_balbriggan_beach_07jan13Brian Murray Town Clerk said that the issue was brought before the Operations Manager Paul Smyth and he said that two bins were sufficient.

Louise Edmonds suggested that residents contact Paul Smyth by email, telephone or letter to highlight the need for more bins and that people need to work together.

Skerries has 38 bins along their beach front – Balbriggan’s population is over two and a half times that of Skerries
