On Saturday morning Star of the Sea Athletics Club presented cheques to the value of €5,524.96 to two very deserving causes. Balbriggan Cancer Support Group received a cheque for €2,838.48 and Andrew Coscoran Olympic Fund Training fund received €2,686.48. (more…)

Minister of State for Community Development and Charities and Green Party T.D for Fingal has announced the allocation of an additional €9,581 to Balbriggan Cancer Support Group as part of the COVID-19 Stability Fund. This funding is in addition to the €21,000 allocated to the group (more…)

On 28th May Star of the Sea Athletics Club held the Michelle McKiernan virtual 5KM run. Each year the club hold a 5km and Due to Covid-19 this years run was a virtual run. The run was a huge success with with 514 people taking part and raise €6,500 for Balbriggan Cancer Support Group (more…)
Young Phoebe set herself a challenge for the month of June and that challenge was to run a marathon distance of 42km. This is a mammoth task as Phoebe is only 6 years old. Phoebe completed this huge challenge on Saturday 20th June, 10 days sooner than planned and managed to (more…)
O’Dwyers Ladies team are going to run 1,000km in 7 days from Monday 20th to Sunday 27th April. Individual runs within 2km radius of home will be added to group tally daily. They are hoping to raise funds for Balbriggan Cancer Support Group and Jigsaw Balbriggan. (more…)
