The class of 1987 from Loreto Secondary School in Balbriggan organised a 25 year reunion on Saturday 16th of June 2012 in the Bracken Court Hotel. The three organisers Sandra Branagan, Jo-Anne Rankin and Roisin Sweeney were first to arrive and anxiously awaited for more of their school pals to arrive. (more…)

Balbriggan Summerfest School Choir Competition

Music rang out from St Peter and Paul’s church on Thursday 31st May as the Balbriggan Summerfest Schools Choir Competition got underway. Adjudicating the event was Mr. John Hughes who has worked as a conductor with both RTE Orchestras and has conducted orchestras in Australia and the US Congratulations to all the choirs who took part it and the hard work that went into making this a very special event. Balbriggan Community College End of Year Awards Ceremony

Balbriggan Community College held their End of Year Awards Ceremony in the Bracken Court Hotel on Friday 25th May 2012 to a packed crowd. It was great to see so many students being recognised for outstanding achievements throughout the year. RTE Nationwide Visits Balbriggan Community College

The RTE Nationwide team visited Balbriggan Community College today to film and report on the students involvement with the Rockabill Roseate Tern Conservation Project. Three woodwork teachers, Mr Harford, Mr Macken, Mr Jim Boylan and numerous students have constructed close on 1000 nest boxes for the project as part of the Conservation Project. (more…)


Balbriggan Community College Presents Mamma Mia

Balbriggan Community College put on a fantastic showing of Mamma Mia in the Bracken Court Hotel, Balbriggan. The students really played a blinder with their high energy performance and even involved their unsuspecting teachers in some of their scenes. The audience engaged in the performance with singing and clapping adding to the great atmosphere of the night. (more…)
