Hello my name is Charlie Weldon and I live in Balbriggan with my mam Mary Weldon, my dad David Weldon and my twin Brother George Weldon. As of writing this I am 16 years old and doing transition year in Colaiste na Hinse in Bettystown. I started writing poems in the loving memory of my grandad George Weldon (sn).

>With help on spellings from Maisteor Russell, I got started and from their I have been doing poems independently. All the teachers and SNA’s loved my poem and thought I was very talented. One SNA Inion Lynch burst into tears reading the one I did for her, saying it was the nicest thing anyone ever did for her.

I love writing poems for others just to see the joy on their faces as it really makes me happy to see them happy. How school is related to this is for mini company I decided to do a poem company called Poems Of Every Memorable Second where I write a poem of your choice e.g. wedding, birthday you name it and I would put it on candles, bags, plaques etc. The school itself is such a lovely school, teachers and SNA’s willing to help and something fun to do every day. Yes you should go to it you would love it also trust me.

I decided to write a poem to say thank you to everyone who donates to Balbriggan Cancer Support Group because of all the work they do to help support people with cancer and they would struggle to do this without your donation. I wrote a poem for them in a night and loved every second of the presentation. I hope to continue writing poems in the future and make people happy. Thank you for reading my article.

Charlie Weldon.
