Cllr Tom O’Leary calls for €350k funding to upgrade Balbriggan Town Centre Cllr Tom O’Leary has called on Fingal Co Council to apply to the relevant Government Departments and agencies for €350,000 funding for the Public Realm project to upgrade a key entrance to Balbriggan town at Railway street .Local Minister James Reilly is in favour of investing in Balbriggan.

This historic street has great potential and the Chamber of Commerce, President Tony Murphy and others have completed a detailed plan to upgrade this street, encourage new business and commence a street market in that area.

It is a perfect fit with the recently announced Balbriggan creative quarter by local election candidate and Chamber of Commerce President Tony Murphy.

Balbriggan’s Creative Quarter (BCQ) is an initiative established to highlight and refresh the creative, technical and professional culture of the heart of Balbriggan. It is situated in an area stretching from Quay St. to Convent Lane and from Drogheda St. to the harbour. Balbriggan Train station is located in the Middle of this area , making it very attractive for new Business to commence here said Cllr Tom O’Leary
