While many requests are made for new bin locations in Balbriggan, the tidy towns Saturday crew are best placed to advise Fingal county Council.  I put the following question  “To ask the Chief Executive to assess the merit for new bins location as suggested by Balbriggan Tidy Towns?
binFollowing recent meetings with Balbriggan Tidy Towns it has been agreed to install 8 new bins within Balbriggan. Fingal County council were unable to accommodate all 11The eight additional bin allocations are as follows:

  • 2 x bins on Castlemill Road
  • 1 x bin at the bus stop at the entrance to Dun Saithne estate, Flemington Lane
  • 4 x bins at the Martello Tower (3 around the band stand and 1 at the car parking area)
  • 1 x bin at the bus stop on Drogheda Street near the Post Office.

I  appeal to all residents to use the bins sensibly and report to Fingal County Council any misuse of the bins by people who may try to dump household waste in them.
