June 23, 2014 0

On Wednesday 18th of June, Irish Water signed a contract with Jons Civil Engineering to construct the new pumping station at the Dublin Road Roundabout in Balbriggan and various pipelines.

Preparations for construction work will commence on Monday 23rd of June and construction itself will last approximately 14 months.

pumping_station_workslThere will be a meeting on Wednesday 25th June at 2:30pm in Balbriggan Town Hall where all issues regarding the Dublin Road Pumping Station Works will be discussed i.e. traffic restrictions etc. Cllr Grainne Maguire is urging all people directly effected by these works to come to the meeting where hopefully all their questions can be addressed.

In order to facilitate the construction of a major storm water holding tank, a substantial part of the public car park (opposite the church) will be closed to the public for much of this time.
