Fine Gael TD for Dublin Fingal, Alan Farrell, has said €198,804 has been provisionally approved for Fingal County Council to take 11 housing developments in the North County in charge. “The Minister for Housing, Simon Coveney TD, has confirmed to me that €198,804 has been provisionally approved for Fingal County Council to take 11 housing developments in charge. 2,349 housing units will be taken in charge by the Council thanks to this funding.
“The housing developments to come under the remit of Fingal County Council thanks to this initiative include:
- Ballisk Court, Donabate
- Brackenwood, Balbriggan
- Broomfield Mews PS, Malahide
- Carlton Court, Swords
- Chieftans Way, Balbriggan
- Cianlea, Swords
- Collis Court – Glebe House, Jugback Lane, Swords
- Holywell, Feltrim Hall (Phase 1) Phase 2, Swords
- Ridgewood (Phase 7A) Cedar, Swords
- The Orchard, Garristown
- Weston Park, Oldtown
“This is great news for housing estates and developments across the North County, that have been left unfinished or in need of further work by developers. Now that these developments will be under the remit of Fingal County Council this work can finally be completed, and families can expect to live in high quality developments that are properly serviced.
“Minister Coveney has said that this initiative should be seen in the context of the Government’s forthcoming Action Plan for Housing. Funding provided through Local Authorities will support the provision of new infrastructure to support the development of high quality homes for all.”
