The end of an era… the start of exciting new beginnings

After 11 years we have decided to close the website so that we follow our dreams. Balbriggan is an amazing town with some truly great people and we want to take the opportunity to thank everyone who supported us over the years, to all the people who advertised their businesses, clubs and classes and to the people who let us tell their stories.

Kim & JoeIn March 2020 at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I have been very lucky to have excellent results and all is clear.  This prompted Joe and I to bring forward our plans to sail around the world and in order to do this something needs to give and we have decided that it is time to wrap up  If the last year has thought us anything it’s that life is short and sometimes it takes an event to make you change direction.  We have sold our house in Balbriggan and we are heading to Greece to begin our journey.

Balbriggan has a very bright future ahead thanks to the individuals and groups who involve themselves in the town, whether it’s picking up rubbish, helping a neighbour, planting flowers, it’s the people who go out of their way for the good of the town that make a real difference.

99% of the people out there are amazing and these were the stories we told.  Don’t get hooked on negative stories as these only serve to drag the town down.  Balbriggan is a great town and with lots of great stories and these are the ones that should be told.  Covid-19 has knocked the stuffing out of communities around the world so see how you can shed a little light into someone else’s life, a simple smile, a small gesture can go a long way in making someone’s day and remembers to dream a little and to follow your dreams, 20 years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than the things you did.

Joe and I wish you all the best for the future and once again thanks to the people of Balbriggan for being part of our journey…
