Fingal’s Local Enterprise Office hosted the Fingal Enterprising Women Summer Network Event which was attended by 50 businesswomen this week at the Waterside Hotel in Donabate. The entrepreneurs received a Customer Experience Masterclass and a Summer BBQ. The evening provided a great opportunity for the entrepreneurs, both existing and aspiring, to mix with other women in business.
The Fingal Enterprising Women Network supports female entrepreneurs by offering a networking platform where they can learn, meet like-minded people, explore commercial opportunities and grow a business.
Guest speaker at the BBQ was Leza Nulty, Customer Experience expert with Shopper Anonymous who delivered a masterclass on the fundamental considerations for Start Ups and SME’s to ensure that their CX Strategy is accurately meeting the needs and wants of their customers and forms the basis of their growth strategies.
Addressing the gathering of female entrepreneurs, The Mayor of Fingal Cllr. Anthony Lavin said: “My message to you is that you are not on your own. Our network is driven by you, the businesswomen of Fingal, and I would urge you to take maximum advantage of it. Whether you are just setting out on your entrepreneurial journey in a new start-up, or if you have years of experience in running your own business, we are delighted to be in a position to support your continued growth and development. Our Local Enterprise Office is always at hand to support you and your business and we will do our best to ensure that female entrepreneurship is alive and thriving in Fingal!”
Head of Enterprise Oisin Geoghegan spoke about the existing portfolio of entrepreneurial women in the county: “We are very lucky in Fingal to have so many successful female entrepreneurs who are leading the way for those who are just starting up. This FEWN event is just the latest in a long line of successful events run by the network and I would encourage all existing or prospective female entrepreneurs to get involved.”
Chief Executive of Fingal County Council, Paul Reid said: “There are many talented, committed and diverse entrepreneurs across the county and I am delighted to see events like these take place to encourage and support the businesswomen who contribute a huge amount to Fingal.”
