The Flavours of Fingal County Show was a great success with thousands attending the event on both days. The event which is growing year on year was jam packed with events, combining the sights and sounds of an agricultural show with an unforgettable food and family fun experience all taking place within the historic walled garden of Newbridge House and Farm, Newbridge Demense, Donabate, County Dublin.

flavours_of_fingal_eventTrevor Roche from Dublin Falconry showcased the art of Falconry, one that originated in the east circa 400AD.  Trevor is currently looking for a new home for Dublin Falconry so if you can facilitate Trevor please get in touch – click here for contact details.

Crowds cheered as they supported their favourite Knights in the jousting show with skilled performances from our stunning horses and Knights in shining armour. There was Horse ploughing and cultivating with Bill and Fred the Irish Draught horses.  Sheep racing and agri aware tours on the hour. The Great Irish War Society put on re-enactments taking visitors back in time with their stories of old.

There is so much for the kids to do with bouncy castles, face painting, archaeological digs, cycle obstacle courses, the Wild Air Run, kids golf and lots more.  Each day there was a wide selection of local crafts on offer. No trip to Flavours of Fingal would be complete without sampling the delicious artisan food on offer.

A great well organised event with so much on offer and we look forward to next years event…
