Four projects in Dublin Fingal to receive over €228,500 in LEADER funding – Farrell

Fine Gael TD for Dublin Fingal, Alan Farrell has welcomed confirmation of over €228,500 in LEADER funding for four projects in the North County.  “I am delighted with confirmation from my Fine Gael colleague, the Minister for Community and Rural Development, Michael Ring TD that over €228,500 in LEADER funding has been allocated for four projects in Dublin Fingal.

“The Donabate Portrane Community Centre Water Conservation project is to receive over €11,500 which will go towards a new system to reduce water consumption by 50% per year, through the development of a renewable energy, conservation project.

“Over €14,100 in LEADER funding has been granted to resurface the surrounds of the Donabate All Weather Pitch. In addition to this, Keeling Juices, Ballyboughal are to receive €60,100 towards the commissioning of new bottle moulds and new equipment for automatically packing bottles.

“Over €142,700 of LEADER funding has been allocated to the Hillview self-catering project in Ballaghstown, Lusk which will be utilised for the development of an additional self-catering unit to expand existing accommodation in rural North County Dublin for families visiting the region.

“I am pleased that four projects in Dublin Fingal have been successful in receiving LEADER funding awards, focusing on water resources, rural tourism, and enterprise development.

“As the local Fine Gael TD, I will continue to actively engage with Minister Ring, and his Department, to ensure the needs of communities across the North County are heard and acted upon by Government.”
