Get involved in National Guide Dog Day

Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind’s national fundraising campaign Guide Dog Day takes place on Friday, 7th  May and  they are asking you to take on the challenge of walking, running, swimming or cycling 100 km throughout the month of May to help change the lives of people who are vision impaired and the families of children with autism.

guide_dogs_volunteer_night_balbriggan_02mar12_smallerA target of 100 km is suggested but you may choose a higher or lower figure, whatever challenges you.  Please accept the challenge and register today.  The first 3,000 people to register will get a free T-shirt and Doggy Bandana.  There are prizes as well.  Full details at

Tap to Donate €3 at Specsavers, Millfield Shopping Centre, Balbriggan or drop a donation into any of our Large Collecting Dogs or counter boxes which you will find in many shops and premises in Balbriggan, Skerries, Rush and Lusk. 

Look for our posters around Balbriggan and Skerries where you will see a QR code. Just scan the code with your mobile phone’s camera which will link you to Fire where you can make a donation to Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.

We are sorry that we are not able to be out fundraising in person in the community this year on Guide Dog Day but hopefully we will be able to meet up soon.
