Gladrags and Handbags in aid of Friends of Calcutta

Balbriggan native Miriam Doran has been working with Friends of Calcutta for a number of years. Friends of Calcutta are a voluntary organisation founded in 1994 with 100% of all funds raised going directly to the projects we support. They support the education of over six hundred children in the slums of Calcutta and young adults in three centres with our partner organisation Development Action society.

Miriam was honoured on a few occasions to have worked in Calcutta with the poor who have taught me so much about life. We have to raise  €37,000 annually  to keep all our projects running.

Friends of Calcutta are having a Glad rags and Handbag fundraiser night on the 17th of July in the parish hall in Stamullen.  We would be ever so grateful if you could help us in any way possible.

If you have any bags, jewellery or dresses to donate to this very worthwhile cause contact Miriam Doran on 0863471440.
