A great day at the ‘Treat Yourself Saturday’ craft, food & beauty day in St. Georges National School in Balbriggan on Saturday 11th March.  From crafts, cakes, Indian and Oriental foods and beauty treatments at bargain prices there was something for everyone.

Two stands that we would like to give a special mention to were Unhynged and AM Productions.

Unhynged is an enterprise company from  three Transition Year students in Balbriggan Community college, Alex, Bernard and James, who have launched a unique and innovative bracelet. The bracelets were created originally as a by-product of another craft project the students were involved in, but very quickly developed into a fully fledged business idea with new products added.  You can check them out on facebook here

The second project is also a transition year project from two students Andrejs and Matthew from St Mary’s in Drogheda and their company provide beautiful handmade decorations for wedding, home & tourism. There range of pictures & frames included ‘Rainy Day Fund’ and ‘Holiday fund’ Money Boxes, not your standard off the shelf products.  You can check them out here.

It was great to see these young entrepreneurs selling their products and developing their business and personal skills.

A well organised day raising funds for St. George’s Parish in Balbriggan with plenty to see and buy…
