A great evening at the Balbriggan Summerfest Summer Party on Friday night. Lorraine Jackson stage school put on an amazing performance with over 120 children taking part and what a fantastic teacher and role model they have in Lorraine who really gives it her all and encourages the many children who attend her stage school. Amusements and bouncy castles kept everyone entertained and the treated themselves to culinary delights from the many food trucks. A special tribute to the late Peggy Quinlan, founding member of Balbriggan Cancer Support group saw a fantastic dance performance and pigeons released in Peggy’s memory. A bench has been pained on the beach by artist Jackie Roy with butterflies in Peggy’s memory.
Music rang from the stage as the Enemies played to the crowd followed by DJ Paul who rang out the tunes. To top off a great evening the Balbriggan Summerfest fireworks display lit up the skies for the thousands of people who lined the beach, harbour and beach walk. A fantastic well organised event and a big thanks to the Balbriggan Summerfest team and the many volunteers.
