Balbriggan ICA Quilt Project in Association with TescoDecember 10, 2014 ADMIN 0
The very talented ladies at Balbriggan ICA undertook a project in conjunction with Tesco Balbriggan to create a quilt which would be raffled off in aid of Temple Street Childrens Hospital. The project titled ‘wrap Temple street in love ‘ was the brain child of Tesco’s Community Champion Lisa McEvoy who spoke to President of Balbriggan ICA Frances Nixon to see if the ladies in the Balbriggan Guild would like to help out.
Not ones to put things on the long finger, the ladies got to work and completed the fantastic quilt in under 3 weeks. The quilt will be on display in Tesco, Millfield from Thursday 12th December and tickets are on sale in the shop at €2 per ticket or 3 for €5. The raffle will take place on 23rd December with all funds raised going to Temple Street Children’s Hospital.
If any ICA groups around the country would like to get involved and make more quilts please contact Lisa at firstname.lastname@example.org
James McNamara, Tesco Balbriggan Store Manager and Lisa McEvoy would like to thank the amazing ladies who made the quilt to ‘wrap Temple Street in love’
