The Club is still successfully run by members of the Harper family who were present today and therefore, the cricket grounds were inaugurated in honour of Jack. The plaque was sponsored by Balbriggan Town Council.

A Charity Cricket Fun Day was held on the day in the Cricket Club grounds and featured a match between Balbriggan Cricket Club vs. Dublin Fire Brigade Cricket Team. Attendees on the day got to enjoy a BBQ , face-painting, balloon-making, various games and a raffle. A great day and even the sun made an appearance!
