Jobs boost for Balbriggan – MurphySeptember 23, 2016 ADMIN 0
Balbriggan welcomed a new Pharmaceutical company Alter Pharma into Stephenstown Business Park with the official opening announced by the Minister for Jobs Enterprise and Innovation, Mary Mitchell O’Connor TD. Pharmaceutical group Alter Pharma has announced plans to add 80 new jobs in Balbriggan after inaugurating a new headquarters for its worldwide operations in Stephenstown.
Opening the new €5 million euro facility underlines their commitment to Ireland and will allow for their rapid expansion plans. I am looking forward to the natural spinoff from the job creation in our local community says Councillor Murphy. This is exactly the type of progress that is needed here.
It’s important to recognise that the available workforce and geographical location have been major contributing factors in the decision to relocate to Balbriggan, said Murphy. I would like to thank all the agencies especially the IDA Ireland who helped the company in its initial move to Ireland, and in its relocation to Balbriggan.
