The latest news as of 1pm on Saturday 2 October – 1,586 cases confirmed: 1,586 additional cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed. 298 COVID-19 patients are in hospital, with 56 of those patients in intensive care (ICU). To get a free COVID-19 vaccine you can register for an appointment at a vaccination centre. You can also go to a walk-in clinic without an appointment at certain times.

• book an appointment with a participating pharmacy
