Local Property Tax – Public Consultation Phase 2020 – Have your say!

REMINDER:  Less than a week left to have your say on the Local Property Tax for 2020, the survey must be completed before 12 noon on Friday 2nd August 2019.  Fingal County Council will meet in September 2019 to consider setting of a local adjustment factor  of +/- 15% of the basic rate and your inputs could sway their decision.  Only 49 people have so far completed the survey which asks if you want to see the property tax incre

08-Jul-19: Fingal County Council will meet in September 2019 to consider the setting of a local adjustment factor for 2020. The Finance (Local Property Tax) Act 2012 (as amended), makes specific provision that elected members of a local authority may pass a formal resolution to vary the basic rate of the Local Property Tax for their administrative area by a percentage known as the local adjustment factor.  At the meeting set by Fingal County Council to consider this matter, the members may set a local adjustment factor within the range of +/- 15% of the basic rate, or, may decide not to adjust the basic rate. 

Members of the public can make a submission in relation to the Local Property Tax so take the time to have your say.

The period for submissions is from Tuesday 2nd July 2019 to 12 noon on Friday 2nd August 2019. Submissions must be received by 12 noon on Friday 2nd August 2019.
