Loreto Secondary School Transition Year 5K RunMay 2, 2019 ADMIN 0
On Tuesday 30th April, the Transition Year (TY) students at Loreto Secondary School Balbriggan participated in a 5K run as part of TY wellbeing and the Local History class. The event was organised by the 4A Local History class with the assistance of Ms. Caffrey. Although the day started off damp and drizzly, the students’ spirits were high as they hit the beach and headed to the all-weather and rugby pitches.
For some students it was their first time running or walking 5K. All students enjoyed the event and it went without a hitch, the weather improved and there were no injuries.
A special thanks goes to all the teachers who participated as stewarts, all the students who acted as first aiders, Supervalu for providing water and oranges, the Gardai for their presence en route and finally Balbriggan.info for coming along to take pictures of the event.
Very well done to everyone involved, looking forward to doing it again next year.
