December 3, 2020 0

The Gardaí In Balbriggan have counted their steps for the “Stepping out of Lockdown Challenge” that took place yesterday and have reached their goal by walking a combined total of 414,916 steps over the 24 hour period. This has exceeded their goal of 380,160 steps they had set. We would like to thank all of those that participated in this event, the Gardaí, the Garda staff and also to the local community that showed their support yesterday to us.

A massive amount has been raised for Jigsaw so far which is a registered charity that provides support and help for young people who are experiencing mental health issues. This event was a huge success. We appreciate it and a huge thank you to all involved.

A special thank you to the transition year students in Loreto school in Balbriggan and their teacher Catherine McCabe for participating by counting their steps yesterday the students counted a massive 971,488 steps in total. Well done to everyone involved.
