Cllr Tony Murphy (Ind) is delighted to announce that following extensive negotiations with Fingal County Council he has secured substantial funding for the improvement of Balbriggan’s main streets. It is proposed that grants will be provided to assist landlords and commercial tenants to refurbish their shopfronts by way of design, painting and signage.

The qualifying detail of the grant scheme is being developed at present, however, I want this project be delivered as a matter of urgency” said Cllr Murphy.

“The success of this project will be determined by the uptake by landlords and retailers.

I am excited by this project and its potential to deliver a new face to the town centre. It has been one of my main agenda items since my election last year to Fingal County Council.
