8th place for Nell Staunton at the Youth Sailing Youth Championship

UPDATE: A big congratulations to Nell to managed to finish in 8th place out of 46 athletes from around the globe.  This is the best ever result for Irish Sailor Girls at Youth Nationals and is a great achievement to finish in the top 10.  Well done Nell on this great achievement.

16-Jul-18: Local Girl Nell Staunton Balscadden is representing Ireland at the Youth Sailing Youth Championship at Corpus Christi Texas. Nell is Sailing in the Girls Radial Laser event and she will be competing against 80 Girls Sailors for all over the World. Nell will Compete in 2 Races per day for the next five days.

Nell started her Sailing Career in Skerries starting in an Optimist Boat at the age of 9 and then to a Topper at 11 and then to the Laser at 13. Nell Sailing loves her Sailing training in the Gym twice and week and Cycling other days. Her passion and dedication to her sport has given her the opportunity to qualify at the ISA Youth Championship which was held over the Easter Holidays
