Balbriggan Horticultural Society held a Christmas Floral Art demonstration by Margaret Curtis and Julie Tracy in the Scout Den, Market Green, on Thursday 13th December 2012. There was a fantastic turnout on the night and Margaret and Julie put on a fantastic show. As well as providing an invaluable opportunity for these budding authors to have their work published, all profits from “A stocking Full of Stories” will provide much needed funds for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin. Balbriggan Community College Students Create Record Number of Hampers for SVP

Students from Balbriggan Community College created 21 family hampers, 8 single hampers, 3 gifts & games hampers for St. Vincent de Paul (SVP). The hampers are being collected by St. Vincent de Paul tomorrow and will no doubt go a long way in making someone Christmas easier this year. Balbriggan Bank Machine Scam!

Recently in Balbriggan a scam was carried out at an ATM machine. The scam involves the cash dispensing slot as opposed to the card slot and the card skimming scam that we may all be aware of. It is suspected that something is placed in the machine to stop the cash coming out and the customer thinks the machine is broken/empty and walks away. (more…)


Balbriggan Lady Michelle Reilly Francis Loses Whopping 92lbs in 9 months

ProFitness, a personal training gym in Balbriggan is responsible for the amazing weight loss in one of its members, Michelle Reilly Francis in just over 9 months. Michelle Reilly Francis who trained at ProFitness a whopping lost 92 lbs between January 28th and November 15th. She went from a size 26-28 to a size 12-14 and dropped to 11st from 18st. (more…)

There was a Christmas Craft Fair in the Combined Clubs Balbriggan on Sunday 9th December with a fantastic array of goods on sale. We managed to pick up some fantastic presents at knock down prices.
