Pat Browne Memorial Cup at Balbriggan RFC – Day 2

The second leg of the Pat Browne Memorial cup, qualifying rounds were held at Balbriggan RFC, Wednesday, This competition held for National schools in the area, were today attended by, St Patrick’s NS Stamullen, Naul NS and St Georges NS.

Each school fielded very talented players, and in a very strongly competitive round, St Patricks Stamullen, came out on top, but not without strong fights from St Georges or Naul.

Club CCRO Frank Duffy said “This result sets up an intriguing Final between St Mologas NS and Stamullen NS, where regular Balbriggan RFC team members will be playing…and trying to out play each other, on separate teams”.

Balbriggan RFC director of rugby Eamon Darcy commented ” we have been really impressed with the school teams at this level, in the competition, we would look forward to further developing the playing skills of any players that would like to join Balbriggan RFC”
