Proposed Development of Playgrounds in Balbriggan on Public Display

The proposed developments of two playgrounds in Balbriggan are now on public display and  available for inspection from Tuesday 1st December 2015 to 22nd January, 2016 at:  Balbriggan Library, Georges Square, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin and Fingal County Council Offices, County Hall, Swords, Co. Dublin, and Civic Offices, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, on Monday to Friday 9.30am – 4.30pm.

UPDATE: Balbriggan Community Council have drafted letters that people can sign and date and add their address to.  Hopefully this will make it easier for the public to submit their support. – see  Draft Support Letter – Playground Band Stand Park & Draft Support Letter – Playlot Quay Street

Observations or submissions regarding these proposals are invited from members of the public and other interested parties. All submissions or observations received during the time period will be taken into consideration before the preparation of a revised proposal. Proposed development of a playground facility at band stand park, Bremore Regional park, Balbriggan

Pursuant to the requirements of the above, notice is hereby given of the proposed construction by Fingal County Council of the above facility. Fingal County Council following extensive consultation with local representatives and community groups wishes to develop a local playground facility at the Band Stand Park, within the Bremore Regional Park at Balbriggan, County Dublin.

The proposed playground is intended to be approximately 400m2 in area, equivalent to a large local park facility catering for mixed age groups up to twelve with supervising adults. The facility is principally intended to cater for local children but will also add to the overall amenity of the Regional Park.

The proposal is compatible with the Master Plan for the park currently being prepared. Details of the proposed facility are available for inspection or purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy thereof from Tuesday 1st December 2015 to 22nd January, 2016 at:

Pursuant to the requirements of the above, notice is hereby given of the proposed construction by Fingal County Council of the above facility. Fingal County Council following extensive consultation with local representatives and community groups wishes to develop a local playlot facility at Quay Street Park, Balbriggan, County Dublin.

The proposed play lot is intended to be approximately 150M2 in area, specifically intended for younger children (under 5) with supervising adults. The proposal is compatible with current usage patterns and will add to the amenity of the town centre.
