Reminder: The date for the Public Information Evening for the Castlelands Masterplan is fast approaching and this is a good chance to discuss the plan with the project team who will be available to answer queries about the future preparation of the Masterplan and to advise the public in their participation in the plan-making process.
The Public Information Evening will take place on Wednesday 15th August 2018 in Castlelands Community centre from from 3.00pm to8.00pm.
07-Aug-18: The preparation of the Castlelands Masterplan is a requirement of the Fingal Development Plan 2017-2023. The Castlelands Masterplan lands contain two zoning objectives as follows: ‘RA’– Residential Area which states: ‘Provide for new residential communities subject to the provision of the necessary social and physical infrastructure.’ And ‘OS’ – Open Space which states: ‘Preserve and provide for open space and recreational amenities.’
Objective Balbriggan 16 of the Fingal Development Plan 2017-2023 states the following: ‘Prepare and/or implement the following Masterplans during the lifetime of this Plan: Castlelands Masterplan
If you are interested in how the Castlelands Masterplan will develop and wish to contribute to the shaping of its future, you can make a written submission to the Planning Authority between Tues 31st July and Tues 28th August 2018.
Written submissions to inform the preparation of the Castlelands Masterplan can be made in the following ways:

on or before Tuesday 28th August 2018.
In addition Fingal County Council intends to hold a PUBLIC INFORMATION EVENING on WEDNESDAY 15th August 2018 in the CASTLELANDS COMMUNITY CENTRE from 3.00PM TO 8.00PM. The project team will be available to answer queries about the future preparation of the Masterplan and to advise the public in their participation in the plan-making process.
All submissions received during this period will be considered by the Council in the drafting of the Castlelands Masterplan and details including the names of those making submissions may be shared with relevant Council Departments or their agents involved in the making of the Masterplan and may form part of reports linked to the making of the Masterplan.
