Public Consultation: Strategic Plan Glebe Park Balrothery

Reminder: There is still time to make a submission or observation regarding the Strategic Plan for Glebe Park in Balrothery.  Submissions can be made until Wed 28th June so if you want to have your day there is still time. The public consultation is a regulatory process by which the public’s input on matters affecting them is sought. Its main goals are in improving the efficiency, transparency and public involvement in large-scale projects or laws and policies. Location map and project descriptions are provided below.

17-May-17: During 2016, Fingal County Council held informal discussions with local community groups and representatives in Balrothery in response to their ideas in relation to the further development of The Glebe Park, Balrothery. On foot of these discussions a Draft Strategic Plan has been prepared.

Proposed improvements will comprise of the following:

  • New Play Facilities including Children’s Playground and Multi-use Games Area.
  • New Adult Exercise Facilities.
  • Improved Path Network including resurfacing of existing paths, additional sections of footpaths and improved vehicular/pedestrian access.
  • Upgrading of Car Parking.
  • Improvements to Sports facilities (Upgrading of existing sports pitch, development of a new sports pitch and tennis court).
  • Provision of a Community Garden Area.
  • Provision of additional seating and structure tree planting/Arboretum.
  • Provision of additional information/interpretative signage

Plans and particulars of the proposal will be available for inspection from Tuesday 2nd May 2017, to Wednesday 14th June 2017 (between the hours 9 am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and Friday, from 9 am to 4.30pm) at The Offices of Fingal County Council at County Hall, Main Street, Swords, Co.
