Remember Us Special need charity ran a 6 week Summer camp, 4 days and 1 night per week for the six weeks. 182 young people/adults with special needs participated in the camp along with some parents/carers. We had day trips to Glendlough, Irish Military War museum, National Stud and Japanese Gardens, Causey farm, Ablefest, Historical high jinks in Clonard house in Mullingar, Sealife, Clara Lara, Russborough House and more.

Home based events included Messy Play with Doodle Tots, Drams and dance sessions, multi sports, cricket and tag rubgy sessions and much more. We finished up with a closing party where our members were entertained by a Puppet show, magic show Mini pop stars and disco.

We would like to thank Fingal County for a Grant of €2,000 towards the camp. Our members certainly weren’t bored during the summer months. Lots of exercise, fresh air and fun fun fun with their friends was the agenda. Parents of the teens/adult members got much needed respite when their sons/daughters were out on the long day trips. Of course all this wouldn’t happen without our amazing volunteers who gave up so much of their time to support our members.

A million thanks to all our volunteers. In appreciation of all they do we had an appreciation day out at Victorian Escapade in Mullingar followed by a lovely meal in The Carnegie Court Hotel in Swords for them. Club is now finished and will resume on Monday 9th September.
