Remember us special needs group would like to express their sincere gratitude to the 93 cyclists who participated in their Annual Charity cycle on Saturday 23rd May in aid of the group. The money raised will be going towards buying a new “Home” for the organisation. A massive thank you to Robbie Knight from Mid Knight electrical limited who sponsored the event.
All the cyclist were welcomed back by a big round of applause from our members.
Irish TV Sky 191 was also on hand to film the event and later at St Teresa’s where the members participated in a Cookery session with Orla and Greg from the Cookie Club, Tag Rugby session with Gerry McCleary and a Fit for Fun session with Paul Barnett. Thank you all for your support.
A big thank you Matt, Philip and Martin for organising the event and Mick Breen from the Irish Centre for Cycling which is based in Malahide Castle.
Thanks also go to James and Mary from PJ’s Playcentre for all their help and support on the day. Thanks to all the marshals, volunteers, An Garda Síochána Balbriggan , Red Cross Ambulance for all their support and help. Country Crest and Skerries Cycle for the raffle prizes, Tesco for supplying the bars, Supervalu Pavilions Swords for the lovely cakes, Oldtown Inn, Boylan’s Butchers’ Rush Motor cycle marshals Cycling and angling shop and everyone else who made the day such a success.

In June we are off to the Quality Hotel, Youghal, Co Cork for a week long family respite self-catering break. Let’s hope the sun shines!!!!! So busy times ahead for the organisation.
