St Mary’s Baton Twirlers celebrate their 40th anniversaryJuly 1, 2019 ADMIN 0
A fabulous night with dear friends and family was held in the Bracken Court Hotel on Saturday 29th June for local club, St Mary’s Baton Twirlers. The night was full of fun and special memories were made. Speeches were said by Dinah Black and Michael Connolly where they looked back on a few of the fun filled years with the club.
Presentations were made to the founding members of Michael and Marian Connolly, club directors and coaches Dinah Black, Susan Mullen, Tara Connolly, Sharon Pyne Farrell, Johanna Buckley and Amanda Bergin. Many of the current twirlers were there for the occasion as well as many past members and their parents. It really was a special occasion for this fantastic club who are still going from strength to strength.
St Mary’s Baton Twirlers are celebrating their 40th anniversary this year, and were established as a Marching Band and Majorettes in 1979 and developed to what we now know as St. Mary’s Baton Twirlers. Three of our other coaches returned after a absence of a few years and their young daughters are also twirling with us.
