Stamullen Artist Niall Leavy is thrilled to be part of the inaugural LONDON IRISH ART 2015 featuring over 40 Irish artists (Ireland & UK based), including celebrated names such as Le Brocquy, Ballagh, Kingerlee and new emerging stars like Francis O’Toole & Kyle Barnes. There will also be two works completed by Irish dancer Michael Flatley, painted with foot taps in acrylic on marley.
The official opening will be on Thursday, 15th January, in Central Hall, Westminster, and promises to be a cracking evening. It will be officially launched by the Minister for Diaspora, Jimmy Deenihan T.D. and the Ambassador of Ireland, Dan Mulhall, at 6pm that evening. The evening will include a short talk by renowned Irish artist Hughie O’Donoghue.

Pigs on Parade a unique fundraising campaign launched in aid of Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation
Niall is also one of 100 artists chosen to ‘paint a pig’ a unique fundraising campaign launched in aid of Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation which will run in Dublin from late January to March. The 100 fiberglass pigs, which are real works of art, will be placed in high profile locations across the city centre and celebrate the talents of established and emerging artists and Irish celebrities. All the Pigs will then be auctioned off online and will culminate in a live auction in March 2015, all in aid of Jack & Jill.
