Stamullen needs a Playground!

October 10, 2015 0

Stamullen is a thriving and growing community with a lot of young families who currently have to travel to other local towns and parks to avail of their local playground facilities. A group of local Stamullen residents have setup a local committee with the goal of providing a local playground for the community. The “Stamullen Needs A Playground” committee was formed after several open local meetings chaired by local councillor Darren O’Rourke.

The committee, consisting of Robbie Purfield, Audrey O’Reilly, Ciaran Flanagan, Fiona Lynam and Caroline Mills have created a Facebook page (search ‘Stamullen Needs A Playground’) with a view to actively engaging and growing support within the local community.

Anyone wishing to get any further information, discuss anything or get involved with the Playground association are invited to contact the committee via the Facebook page where details of meetings and discussions will be posted regularly. We would especially like to hear from local TD’s, Councillors, land owners and developers who would be willing to assist in anyway possible.

The committee would like to thank and greatly appreciate everyone who has contributed, offered suggestions, given feedback and helped us so far.
